Looking for tree suggestions for ball python enclosure

I am looking for suggestions on what type of tree to use in my ball python's enclosure. He loves to climb and sit in his tree. I will attach a picture of the tree he has had previously in his tank. This one is very light and fell over when he was wrapped around the top of it. I situated it in the corner to try to support it but that didn't work. I can't seem to get it in a spot that feels secure. He has a 40 gal tank.

What do you guys use for a tree in your tank and do you have any tips for securing the tree so it doesn't tip over?

(I have also included a few photos of my handsome boy for your viewing pleasure )

Re: Looking for tree suggestions for ball python enclosure

you could try bracing it with a few wooden dowels and some screws or just go to the beach, if you live nearby, and find some more driftwood. You can also check out Etsy.com, they have some driftwood for cheap prices as well as dried Cholla cactus carcasses (as I call them). While not as pretty as the wood, you can also consider thin PVC piping, with elbows, etc. to make kind of a "jungle gym"...just think playground structures that kids climb on.

Oh great idea! I don’t care about looks as much as I do his happiness so I might try out the pipes. Thank you!

You could use rocks around the base or tie it off somehow to the top/lid of the enclosure.
