Just a little update on Burn

So as of today the bump has looked like it has decreased, however I am not totally sure on this, I don't want to handle her or poke at her to much since it seems she is going into a shed.

She's still eating no problem and since April 21st has gained 8 grams so she is still growing.

Again I'm not sure if this is actually a shed as she fooled me last time, hopefully it is and I will get some pictures of the bump once she sheds. I'm really hoping i'm not seeing things and that the bump is disappearing.

On another note her brother is taking fuzzies no problem and has put on 5 grams in the last month. I am hoping once to be able to bump Burn up to fuzzies soon, waiting until she breaks 70 grams.

Re: Just a little update on Burn

Glad to hear the good news! Hopefully we'll soon get a picture of a freshly shed, bump-free little lady!

Re: Just a little update on Burn

So these aren't post shed photos but they are some of the bump, my fiancee seems to think it hasn't gotten any better which leads me to be very confused and uncertain. I really hope i'm not just seeing things.

Sorry that the lighting it terrible though I think she looks just as pretty in shed.

Re: Just a little update on Burn

I'm not seeing anything. Maybe I'm just missing it?

Re: Just a little update on Burn

I haven't kept up to date on this thread really, I only saw the first photos and now these. Compared to the first ones, theres almost no noticeable bump here.

I can't make the bump out either maybe its just the camera angle.

Re: Just a little update on Burn

I finally decided to try and get a little comparison with her brother today even though she is still in shed and unfortunately my fiancee is right. The bump has in fact not decreased but the lump has actually just taken over her whole head.

You can slightly see where it raises just back from her nose, apparently now her whole head is swollen.

She is still eating and acting fine so I am still not sure where to draw the line and give in.

It could just be the the lump is fading out but appears more spread out due to her growing don't give up. If your really are sure it is getting worse take her back to the vet.

Re: Just a little update on Burn

I realize its a hard picture to tell, shes deep in blue, when she sheds i'll try and get a shot of her plus one of her brother for comparison. You can see where the bump starts to rise between her eyes and nose. Its really obvious when they are side by side.

I emailed the vet a few days ago but haven't received a response yet

Re: Just a little update on Burn

Okay so she shed last night or this morning, and I think it looks much better. I couldn't really even notice it at first, its still there but not by much and its back to being a centralized lump and not her whole head. Here are pictures comparing Burn to her Brother Quick Ben, you'll notice Burn has more of a dog/snout like face where the bump raises where as Ben's is a clean steady surface.

Quick Ben

Burn

That looks miles better just continue to keep an eye on it but I am sure burn is fine, I would probably increase the food size next feed.

Hope it was a good she
