Lighting

Hey there, so I'm just finalizing my enclosure build and am now asking questions about lighting. I don't need heat-lighting, just lighting for viewing at night.

My question is, are there any specific things I should know about what types of light to use? Obviously fluorescent tube lights are easy to come by, but what about say LED light strips? They sell them at Lowe's pretty cheap... Would there be advantages or drawbacks to either of those?

=D

Re: Lighting

No real difference mate... whatever is easier for you to set up. Just remember if you go the fluoro that you put a cage around it as well.

Re: Lighting

They don't need UV lights so I use the under cabinet lights at WalMart. They are very thin, and the tubes last a long time and cost is under $20. I have one in each enclosure and have them on a timer, 12 on and 12 off. Works for my critters.
