Humidity and Heat

I have been having a hard time keeping the humidity on my 55 gallon aquarium above 50%. I am using a 150W infrared heat bulb and a UTH for heating and I understand that the light will dry the cage out. Are there any sort of humidifiers out there that will work for more then a couple months and still keep the cage to a good level? I have two ball pythons in the tank, water dish is refilled daily, cage is misted 2-3 times a day. I have seen that I should cover 1/2-3/4 of the mesh top to keep the humidity locked in and I plan on doing that tomorrow to see if it helps but I thought I would try and get some ideas to help out my pythons. Thanks.

Keep the tank about half covered with a moist towel and see how that helps, otherwise you could cover the screen with a piece of glass.

You really shouldn't cohabit two ball pythons.

Re: Humidity and Heat

If you cover the whole top with aluminum foil it will keep the humidity in. Then just set the lamp on the foil.

Also housing two royals together could end bad.
