Success!

Thanks to ilovemypets88 for their suggestion. I successfully fed Ammit a Red Wag Platy. The tongs did damage the tail past the point of being functional, but thankfully he snatched up the fish, swam off with it, and gobbled it down!

Also, after others had mentioned 'sleeping' as a sign of stress, I covered up the front of the tank to give him some more security. I would of recorded him eating, but by the time I pulled up the recorder on my phone he'd gobbled it down. I did take a picture of him with it, though, but it's hard to make out.

I'll post the picture once I get back home.

Can't hurt to get yourself a GoPro camera can connect it to your smartphone, great way to watch your animal without disturbing them.

Never heard of it! I have been looking for ways to monitor my animals, though, without bothering them. I'll have to give it a look, thanks!
