Partial shedding help
I have a young corn snake that is shedding for the first time and it is having some difficulty. My other corn had no problems shedding and the eye caps and tail cap came off just fine. I've been keeping an eye on the corn currently shedding and it has dark black eyes so it was easy to see the blue coloration over its eye caps. Today, the eye caps are off but it hasn't lost any other skin. Its skin still looks glossy and ready to shed. I've never dealt with a snake that has difficulty shedding, any advice as to what I should do for this guy? or is losing the eye caps first something normal?

Re: Partial shedding help
Could it just be in the stage after going milky when they look normal and then they shed or have the eye caps actually come off?

Re: Partial shedding help
It's a dark grey color and it's eyes went from pure black, to a light baby blue color (yesterday), today its eyes look normal, as though the caps came off. I didn't think the color just changed that rapidly. It also looks as though some of the skin is loose around his eyes as well... I'm honestly not sure what's going on with him, I'm a fairly new owner.
It could be that they just went back to being a normal color. My other snake is white and pink in color (not sure what morph) so I couldn't detect much color change in its eyes and didn't really worry about it shedding. I honestly only knew it was shedding because it refused to eat when it normally has a very healthy appetite so this is the first time I'm really paying attention to color.

Re: Partial shedding help
Yup. I agree the snake sounds like it is just going through the normal stages of shedding = No worries

Re: Partial shedding help
Here goes, last time I couldn't get any pictures to load...
Just fed the darker one so... better pictures of it soon.
Any ideas on the morphs? and I can take better pictures if you need them.

Re: Partial shedding help
I love that last one. What morph is that? It seems different from others I've seen. But I'm no snake expert.
