Hi Im new here :)
Hi everyone... I'm new to this forum... My names Laci and no one I know understands how a girl can love something scaley lol... I love all animals but reptiles are my thing... I even have a room dedicated to them in my house lol. I have 2 corn snakes (Harry and Uno), 3 crested geckos (Precious, Bertha, and Lil Man), 2 leopard geckos (Crazy and Girl), 2 russian tortoises (Delmar and Boris)... and a few furry babies. I just recently got a ball python... I've always wanted one but was nervous because everyone kept saying they were picky eaters and bad shedders... well he/she has taken food from day one and only shed once and needed my help. Other than the shedding issue he/she has been awesome. Most gentle snake ever and very active. I do have a question though... my ball python has a bluish look... it was like that after the shed too. I'm a little concerned about it but I did read that it could be iridescence? It looks oil slick like and its all over them... especially in the light. If anyone can give me some input on that it would be great. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. Yes I think all it is is irridescence but to make sure, I would love to see a pic.

Re: Hi Im new here :)
Welcome to our zoo! You have some nice lookin' critters!
I can see a little iridescence in your royal so I'm going to say that's what you're seeing. Iridescence looks like a little water and oil mix. I love how shiny it makes them.
