And yet another rescue

Yup I did it again. A friend of a friend asked if I could come teach her how to care for her beardie she bought from a pet store. They said to feed it pellets and sold her a small plastic tank. I walked into the freezing house to find a very cold lethargic little guy. I held him for a solid 10min under my heavy coat and he began to wake up a bit. I told her how everything she had was wrong and what she needed to get for him. Her answer was " oh my god I am so ashamed to have not looked into it more before getting him. Do you want him? He needs a better home. " so of course he is here now. A quick bath and a new enclosure awaits. Can't wait to watch him pound back some roaches. Can anyone ID his type for me? I have one beardie but had no plans for more so I am not up on my beardie morphs. He is very orange. Thanks.
Meet Bam-Bam

Re: And yet another rescue

As far as skin is concerned, it has a normal make up. As far as color is concerned, probably a citrus. I'm not too learned on bearded dragon morphs.

For your reference, this is a leatherback. Note the lack of any of the bumps found on your beardie.

Not my image.

Thank you both.

Another thing his previous owner did was leave the light on 24/7.
I bet tonight will be a sleep he will never forget. Darkness!!!
He ate 5 b.dubia and half a bowl of beardie salad I made for him.
Ate like it was a first meal after being starved. Poor little guy. I thought he might hurl from eating to fast but it stayed down and now he is sleeping.

Re: And yet another rescue

what are the majority of beardie enthusiasts doing for enclosures? when i was real young my dad and i built a 4x4x2 to house a male and female but he was mostly versed in varanids so we just kinda did the same idea but allowed for more air flow, lower basking temps, much lower humdity etc. are people doing wood enclosures or fish tanks or what

Re: And yet another rescue

Yeah he is exactly like my other beardie. Both try to walk backward out of my hand when I pick them up.lol But quite docile and relaxed.
