Killed but not eating?

So Hannibal completed her shed this morning, and it was a full one, and I went to feed her, she struck and killed the rat, but now is not eating it. I feed her in a separate container (I am well aware of the pro's and cons for doing so), I put the rat in, watched her strike, and constrict her rat, and when I went to put the lid on so she could eat in peace, the rat was not in her mouth, and I went to check just now (about 5 min later) and she still was not eating. Is this normal? Its been about 2 weeks since she last ate, and just finished her shed. I was planning on leaving her in there for about an hour then going to check.

Put her and the rat in her own enclosure and leave them alone. Food should be gone in a while.

Re: Killed but not eating?

Thanks, but I do not feed in the enclosure, this is the 3rd time I have fed her, and the other times she does not have a problem eating in there, I just wanted to find out if that is normal.
