Freshly moulted dubia

I couldn't resist a photo...this thing looked so cool!
I was very careful and let it crawl on me. Hopefully it didn't do any damage to it...It looks so cuuuute!

Wow, that is awesome! That's gotta be the cutest roach I've ever seen, lol.

How long do they stay like that?

Re: Freshly moulted dubia

You guys are making me want to raise roaches. I have no idea why, but they fascinate me. Just very neat critters.

Re: Freshly moulted dubia

Dubias are the cutest roaches. I raise turks and can't stand them!!! But the dubias look like tiny awesome trilobites!

I almost have a hard time feeding them to my herps.

I think you just made it much more bearable for me to have them

Re: Freshly moulted dubia

I think they are so cute just normally. The scuttling can be off-putting, though...lol
I didn't really notice the eyes being like that before (them with their weird mantis-heads)..totally freaked out with a cuteness overload when i was actually able to see this one though.
Also look how fat it is!!! My critters are gonna love'em! I was excited to see that, too *lol*

Re: Freshly moulted dubia

They DO look like trilobites! I didn't see you wrote that until trollbie reposted it.
I really like them. Hubby hates roaches, but even he can stand them if it's one at a time *lol*
It's gonna be hard to feed them to the critters, but also i like how fat they are, so that's going to feel good to feed them to the frog and lizard. Finally feel like i'm feeding them something healthy.
I pick one up every now and then. I really like them : )
I'll get over them being food, just because there will always be more! lol
They're doing really well so far. Only had a couple of them die, in the beginning, because *someone* not to mention who *cough hubby cough* sprayed water in there and it was way too soggy.
Since then i've taken over *preen* and they've been growing and growing!
Anyway...point is...(hey i can ramble, it's my post) i didn't get to see the eyes on the little molts, but this guy was so big it was obvious, and cute!!! The end : )

I was watching mine eat carrots today for like 10 min. I do thing they're cute, but I don't have any adult ones. One step at a time! hahaha
I also think they're adorable when they drink from the droplets on the wall. I still don't mind feeding them to Pluto (the leo gecko) because I know he loves them. It's just kind of awkward to think that I have to feed my gecko's food
