What kind of glue?

I finally got a piece of plexiglass to do what snakekid did for his lid. (Turn a screen top into not a screen top)

He used superglue, but I forgot to get some (oops). Do you think glue gun will be good enough?

I could glue on top of the screen lid instead of the bottom if you think glue gun isn't strong enough.

Also, how many holes should I drill? (enough air, but also enough humidity)

Re: What kind of glue?

I think that would work as long as you don't have weight on top of it, but I doubt you will, because you have to hang the light a few inches above it so the plexiglass doesn't melt.

Re: What kind of glue?

How big is the tank?? Mine was for a ten gallon and I did 2 rows of 5 or 6 on both sides but if it's much bigger I would do 3 rows of 5 holes on both sides

Re: What kind of glue?

That should be fine. You just got to mess around with it until you get your humidity how you want it. You should post a picture of your lid

Re: What kind of glue?

So it turns out I don't need glue. The plexi fits perfect, so I just lay it on the tank and put the screen top over it so that I can still clamp it.

But I'm paranoid about having enough air holes. I did 2 rows of 5 on each side. Is it enough?

Re: What kind of glue?

Damnnnn that looks slick ;p. Nice job! Also, this may be a stupid idea and I don't know if it will work. But, could you buy a small aquarium airpump and shove the tube in a hole and turn it on. I would think it would pump a little more fresh air in and help the air inside the tank move a little allowing more air flow, but idk. Just a thought.
