New Beardie enclosure
Cell phone pics aren't great but here they are. Enclosure is 48" long by 18" wide by 18" high. Basking is a standard clear lightbulb, UVB is a reptisun 10.0 36" bulb, and I have a fixture for a ceremic heat emitter as needed. Basking platform is made of tile, rocks are sandstone to help file their nails down, lol, substrate on that end of the tank is alfalfa pellets. I have a 1 and 1/2 inch high and wide small board that seperates the food/water area. Substrate in that area is green indoor/outdoor carpet which I like better than the reptile carpet. Inside of enclosure is treated with a water based polycrylic and aired out for almost 2 weeks. Temps are good and they seem to like their new home!!!! Both are in shed and pics look bleached out due to all the lights and taking pic with cell through the plexi glass!!!

Love that space because it seperates the feeding area. I feed dubia, not crickets, and they can't climb out of that glass dish and they go eat them as they want to. The other dish is their salad dish and then they have the water dish. I love glass over the rock dishes cause it is so easy to clean and keep sanitary. I also have a small glass dish I give them "treat" food in...fruit or super worms...whatever surprise they get that day.

Great looking tank but if I can suggest not using alfalfa pellets. Those are for rabbits. Your beardie would really enjoy some washed play sand or a mix of sand soil.
What are the temps at you basking spot? If you find you are having trouble getting them up you can use a flood light style bulb and it will concentrate the the light on one spot better.

I asked about sand but my herp vet said not to use sand of any kind...said beardies don't live in the Sahara...lol. He suggested the pellets because they don't eat in the area of the pellets, and if they accidently did eat one which is not likely since he said they don't care for them, it is just alfalfa which won't hurt them and they can dig in them etc. Since he takes good care of my herps, I'm gonna stick with his advice for now. My basking spots are holding at about 98 to 100 degrees....I changed it to a 30 watt flood light. Warm end is staying 87 to 88 degrees and cool about 78 degrees......low seventies at night.

Alfalfa pellets mold very easily. if you insist on using them (I still suggest not too) than make sure to spot clean a large area and quickly after the "gift" has been laid. do they inflate when you get them wet? If so I would worry about them expanding inside their belly. Like I said, alfalfa pellets are great for bunnies but I don't agree with using them for Bearded dragons.

A mix of sand/soil is closer to their natural habitat.
I would bump up the temp of the basking spot a few, 5 or so degrees.
