A Quick Scare
I got home this evening and went to check on my babies, Kaybe and Pika. I opened Pika's enclosure and bam... HE'S MISSING. I freaked out. Freaked out is an understatement actually. I bawled my eyes out. I tore my living room to shreds. I knew he made it to the ground (the enclosure is about 2ft off the floor) because I found his poop on the floor. I cried desperately. I called my boyfriend Phil who left work early to come help me look. While Phil was on his way over to me, I called Kim (Will0W) and she said she'd help me so I headed over to pick her up from where she was. By the time I picked her up, Phil had made it to my place, and sent me a text message saying he found Pika just hanging out in the open by my bed (about 3 rooms away) under my nightstand in plain view. I was MORTIFIED at the idea of losing one of my babies. I cried as if someone had died (no joke. I take my animals pretty seriously.) When I called Kim to tell her Pika was gone, I was crying so hard she thought I meant he was gone as in dead. I had to clarify that he was missing, lol. But the good news is that both Kaybe and Pika are now at Kim's place since she takes care of them for the winter while I go home to Florida for Christmas/New Years, and they'll be happy and safe there. Pika was out for max 22hrs (supposing he got out immediately after I left my apartment the night before). But it was one hell of a scare. Phew! I'm glad that's over. Minor heart attack over. Now, off to bed to get a good night's rest. Night night

Whew...
any idea how he got out? Now that you know he's capable of doing it (and he knows) best to prevent it from happening again.

Kayla all the animals are escaping because it's a reptilian mutiny... That's also why my bearded is on a hunger strike...

I have the same issue with Cici! She's shed on the 26th for the past two month. A week and a half ago, Ger color was dingy, and although I never saw her "in blue" I presumed (never assume!) she'd she'd in the next few days. Well, her color is back, but no shed! Humidity is up (the ReptiFogger is on low almost all day in her 10gal. home. Still no shed.
On tge brighter side, Lucy shed just fine a couple days ago.
Is the barometric pressure off from the norm, or what's going on?

Re: A Quick Scare
Yeah, I'm REALLY glad we found him. He got out because I'd just moved him into a new cage and forgot to get lid clips to hold the lid down firmly. Needless to say, I've gone out and bought some already for when he comes back to me in January (since Kim is snake sitting over the winter for me )
So lock those cages guys!!!

Re: A Quick Scare
I have been playing with those clips ever since DB escaped. Honestly I don't trust them anymore, even with 2 on each corner it doesn't take much force to lift my lid.
So I have about 20lbs of weights on my Ball's tank lind haha.

Re: A Quick Scare
My gecko's haven't eaten in a long time, that I've noticed, and my puppy is acting like a rebellious teenager, I think my reptiles won her over.
