Hello!
Hello! My name is Bethanne Cassidy. My father, Leonard Knapp, is the reptile expert in our family, but is not computer savvy at all! (Terrified is more like it!) So I signed up here in order to keep up to date on what's going on in the reptile world, so I can pass it on to him! I'm kind of like his "computer assistant" - anything he needs done on the computer he contacts me for! Len runs Reptilrama, an educational reptile program, and used to run the Eastern Herpetological Expo, which ran from 1991-2005.

Re: Hello!
Thanks for the welcomes! My dad has a variety of snakes, turtles, tortoises, and lizards. Pretty much most of them are very handleable, as he uses them for his educational shows. He has been involved w/ reptiles for over 50 years. Our family also raised and bred show dogs (Keeshonden) for many years, but dad prefers sticking to just the reptiles now. He says they're easier to care for - you don't have to walk them, brush them, and make sure someone can come let them out if you're gone for a day or two! LOL!

But dogs don't have special humidity needs, or need a heat mat, or a heat bulb, or two hides, or be housed alone, kept to a small cage, nor do they have to be fed another animal whole! I love my snakes, but I can't wait to graduate and get my first dog
