Re: true jungle carpet python?
I don't know one carpet from another but why not find out if its a male or female?
Ask a vet or someone who knows how to probe/pop the snake

He's not too big to pop, it's just hard to do. We've popped the nine foot Bredli's before.
As for his genetics you never know. He does have a lot of nice side speckling that I find in my DiamondX but I wouldn't say there's any Coastal there.

I never heard of Bredli getting that big before. Popping anything over a year old can cause internal damage to my understanding.

Re: true jungle carpet python?
I dont have access to the snake, I was hoping to possibly aquire him. They dont know his sex, or anything, all I have to go off of is the picture, and they know that he is 3yrs old.

you'll have to take him to a vet or reptile store and have an EXPERIENCED person probe it. sure looks like a jcp to me. not sure what you mean by 'true.'

Re: true jungle carpet python?
If hes 3 years old hes WAYYYY too old to pop.
Pretty sure he means not a morph, but yeh probing is your best bet.
Allot of vets will tell you that they can but ive had 2 of my animals injured by vets who "knew what they were doing" do your research first.

Re: true jungle carpet python?
what I mean by true is if he is 100% jungle carpet.. I know that there are alot of crosses are out there and I would prefer to stay away from them if at all possible.

Re: true jungle carpet python?
Looks like a jungle carpet.. Can't be certain though and the only way to accurately determine it's sex is to probe.

Re: true jungle carpet python?
There is no way you can just look at it and be 100% certain what it is. He might have a little coastal in him. Who knows.
