Trying to learn about snakes

Hey guys,

Chris from Toronto here.

I have bearded dragons as pets and I am in the process of opening a webstore for herp supplies. I was sick of having to order from the US because everything costs a premium in Canada. I have put a lot of work and thought into my store. I joined this forum because I want to learn more about snakes so I can better serve my customers.

Cheers,

Chris

Re: Trying to learn about snakes

Thanks so much guys! I have been a lurker here for a bit. I will get some pics of my dragons and post in the lizard forum. I have a red male and a nice yellow leather female. I have been searching far and wide for another female. Would really like a hypo trans leather.

Cheers,

Chris

Re: Trying to learn about snakes

Thanks Shauny.

Ask any Canadian about how we get ripped off on everything up here compared to the US. When I started in this hobby almost everything I have was ordered from the US. Even know the dollar is at par, the Canadian retailers still charge way more. Yes we have more taxes up here but the numbers don't add up.
When this business goes live my customers will be my partners. I know it will be a success.

Cheers,

Chris

sounds similar to the uk and europe

everythings a lot more expensive in the uk compaired to europe

even within the uk there's massive price differences with england paying a lot less for things like prey items

for example up in scotland its £1.75 for a medium rat i get them sent up from england at 81 pence each

even with the postal costs its cheaper for me to have my food delivered the best part of 500 miles than drive 5 mile up the road to my local reptile shop

they know foods a MUST so rip us off for as much as possible

i am in the proccess of working out how economical it would be for me to start selling english rats and mice etc up here in scotland.i would be happy if i could cover my postage costs while only paying english prices on my food

cheers shaun
