tell me what is ideal

What would the ideal enclosure be for an 18 month, 3 1/4 foot coastal carpet python? I have a 20 gallon high tank right now with a dual-dome red and white light setup for heat. A big branch thing and some vines for climbing and a small hide cave and waterbowl. I want to upgrade both size and accessories. Share what you guys have and what you think is best!

Personally i would go for the adult size enclosure now - not sure what the ideal is for a coastal tho, i have a Jungle that needs the climbing room.

Think I could get away with a 40 gallon? I know coastals are semi arboreal like jungle so they probably have similiar climbing needs.

I knew that you could but it emits slightly less heat. (about 5 degrees) I figure if i switch at night when i go to bed it gives the animal a sort of cycle of day and night, both with darkness and a slight temperature drop.

Personally i wanted 3foot of climbing height, i think shaumy keeps his in 2 foot high vivs but slightly longer than mine. Spacewise they have roughly the same, just mine is more vertical and less horizontal space.
