Re: Tail Wagging??

LOL..Ive seen it happen in all 4 listed. They sway their tails during breeding, Ive seen snakes sway their tails during feeding, Ive seen snakes who dont like to be held do it when I take them out for cleanng and what not. I think in a world where self expression with limbs cant be done lol I can wag my tail lol
Ive heard it is done as a distraction as well and I think it could fit in all catagories. Because during feeding, breeding, and times of stress snakes feel the most vulnurable!!

Re: Tail Wagging??

Actually my Hog Island has been doing this for a little while as well...
Here is a video, she moves her tail, then strikes towards me...

From my post here Boa Strikes At Me...
We discovered it may have been because of the bearded dragon across the room (about 10 feet) in my boas direct line of site. I have had her well over a year, and she just started doing this for the last 2 months or so, and only when she is out on her hot side.

Here is the video - YouTube - Hungry or Defensive?
