Corns gettin' busy

My Zen shed today so I thought it would be a good time to introduce her to Iron. A few hours later they were doing their business! I've never seen snakes before so it was interesting to catch.

With any luck I'll have some awesome babies in a few months I'm crossing my fingers I get a fire or two from them, I really like that combo. If I did my math correctly I have 1/4 chance.

Re: Corns gettin' busy

This pair is Bloodred het Amel het Charcoal %50 chance het Anery x Amel het Bloodred het Carmel small % chance of het Charcoal.

I've also got my opal x phantom pair going now too. Nothing fancy out of this pair but good breeding stock for a project I want to do.

The last pair is Amel het Bloodred het Carmel small % chance of het Charcoal x Normal het Amel het Bloodred het Carmel small % chance of het Charcoal, but they haven't been put together yet. The female should shed any day now though, her eyes are pretty clouded over, so very soon!

Re: Corns gettin' busy

Ah. Based on that pairing, you would have 18.75% chance of producing fires, due to the fact that the different parents have different homozygous gene pairs. If you had crossed two bloodred het amel's or two amel het bloodreds you would have ended up with 25% chance for Fire.

The Corn Calculator - Corn snake genetics prediction

^^^^Wonderful resource for anyone, but especially those who actually have cornsnakes to breed
