Mites ?

Okay, so today I did my general pick up in my snake cage and discovered some poop. When I looked close it had some reddish brown bugs on it. Are these mites? I did clean the whole cage after this and washed everything down. Also didn't see anything on my ballpython or on anything else in the tank, using a magnifying glass. Just would like to know if these could be mites.

reddish brown bugs on feces is not mites.

Mites are black and look like moving pepper specks.

i have to agree with wayne it does not sound like mites.

i would take a sample of the poop to the vets to be screened for parasites and bacteria.

i would seal the poop in a bag as it has to be kept moist.then pop it into the fridge to keep it cool.do not freeze as that will kill any bacteria present.

Boy..where was my common sense...already threw out the poop. I just figured it would be mites. Will have to keep an eye out and take a sample next time they make an appearance. Will keep you informed.
