Re: hey i need some info
you also need two hides 1 on the warms side the other on the cool side a heating pad and a heat light if the tank isnt warm enough with just the heat pad

Re: hey i need some info
You need to first decide what snake you are going to get, I'd suggest a Cornsnake they are the best starter snake in most keepers opinions. Second go out a buy a book specific to the keeping & husbandry of the snake chosen it will cost $5-$10. 3rd read the book & it will contain everything you need to know to get started. 4th come back here & ask the Qs the book has not answered for you. 5th setup your stuff. 6th get the snake. Re: hey i need some info
Make sure the enclosure you use has a secure lid. sounds like you already have a tank so you will be likely using a screen type lid. If you can get a locking type & if not make sure to weigh it down in the corners with something heavy to prevent the snake from pushing it open. You may want to consider getting a snake specific enclosure that is built for snakes, Mark

Very low maintenance pet (unlike any mammal pet). You can go on holidays for a week & if the light is on a timer you don't have to even have anyone stop by (unlike any mammal pet). No noise (unlike any mammal pet), if kept clean no smell (unlike any mammal pet), no allergy issues (unlike any mammal pet), no shed hair around the house (unlike a dog or cat). Always contained & controlled (unlike a dog or cat). No accidents around the house & no issues with the neighbours (unlike a dog or cat). No license required (unlike a dog or cat). Easier & cheaper to maintain/feed than any mammal pet. Etc. etc. etc. Mark

Re: hey i need some info
A water bowl big enough for the snake to soak in & possibly a humid hide The snake to be kept at the proper humidity for the species, may require daily misting. A rock or something for the snake to rub against. Mark
