A Waxworm a Day keeps the Docter Away?

I now have a new baby leopard gecko and i've been looking around on what kind of foods i can give himj to keep him happy and healthy. When on petco i saw a customer review on waxworms. The person had said that if you feed a baby leopard gecko a waxworm a day it will make them grow much faster and make them stronger! Is this true? I want to make my new little buddy to get the best.

Re: A Waxworm a Day keeps the Docter Away?

waxworms are very fatty and generally not the best thing to feed an animal.. babies need alot of protien so the best staple feeder is by far crix. but the key to any healthy animal is a varity in diet. so throwing in a wax worm once in a while would be benifical. also try to toss in some butters and silks.

Mealworms are also wonderful to feed as an alternative to just crickets.
