Anybody ever build any enclosures with MDF ??

Just looking for comments Pros and Cons.

I am building 4' x 2' x 1'enclosures

If I do use MDF do I still need to seal it ??

Thanks

Definatly do not use MDF... you would have to seal it off REALLY well and if it leaked somewhere it will rot very quickly... Use melamine and then you only have to seal around the cracks with silicone.

Plus MDF is the heaviest material, so in that aspect it also sucks
