Funny thing happens.....

When you ACTUALLY check on and pay attention to your snakes. This girl was 14 days after PLS and was fairly thin, so I gave up on thinking it was a "pre-lay-shed". I was going to feed her and take the nest box out when I found these things! LOL! 11 PERFECT eggs. They aren't nearly as white as the other clutches, but are perfectly fertile and plump as watermelons.

But the even crazier thing? She did the SAME thing last year and had the SAME yellow-ish eggs. You'd think I'd remember this stuff? Wonder if I'll drop the ball again next year? LOL!

Luckily, the rack is hooked to a helix and the cage temp was a perfect 85F where she layed:

No, I didn't really photograph her as I wasn't too hopefull about anything happening. The wammo, there was 11 eggs. Needless to say, she looked normal. Healthy. Hondos have a VERY short ovulation (compared to pythons, which is what I'm used to). I missed it completely.

Thanks man,
