Even More Problems

Well this morning when i gave my ATB her parasite medicine i notice that she now has mites. God only knows where they came from because none of my snakes has ever had mites and i clean everything regularly. Like i didnt have enough problems with this snake already now i have to deal with these little pests. What is the best way to sanatize the enclosure to kill anything left in it. And also what is the best product or method of killing the mites on the snake. Thanx in advance.

Go to a drug store and buy a bottle of Nix lice shampoo. Dillute it with water and put in a spray bottle. Take out all the substrate and spray the enclosure. Put the snake in a smaller enclosure and spray the snake thoroughly. Keep snake in smaller enclosure for a few hours. Repeat again in 10 days.

Had that problem a long time ago with my LTC male...had great success the old fashion way...soaking and patience. Now he's healthy as ever and not a mite in site. I'm not one for using all those chemicals, who knows what kind of effects they could have on our animals. Just my two cents.
