with the dulled out colours id say a shed but i dont understand what you mean by "see his skin through his scales" are you able to give a better discription of what this looks like.. a pic would be perfect...

Get him to a vet, there is a fungus problem going around with Dragons and you should ask a vet to check that at least so you can rule it out and not have to worry. I have an article on it from a Vet book, but of course I can't find it now........I will keep looking.

we really cant tell you if its normal or not unless we see it.. if you get a pic up then we can tell ya if you should go to a vet for sure.. but id say if your worried and cant get a pic up.. it may be an idea

No, I am not sure.......I am not a Vet, and I haven't seen the dragon but what I am saying is that if you are noticing something ususual with the scales, realize that it may be a possibility and get it checked out so it can be confirmed or ruled out.
