New redeye setup

Here are a couple of quick pics of my new exoterra setup for my red eyes. Give the plants a few months and this will start to look good (hopefully).

PS. I know the camera strap shows up in two of the pics but I took them in the dark so you will have to forgive me lol.

It'll be some time before the plants you have reach any sort of size that they would be much of a perch for the frogs. I would recommend getting a reasonably sized peace lily or two. They can be found at most Home Depot locations, as well as many grocery stores etc etc for around ten dollars. I think your frogs will be hanging out on the glass for a long time otherwise

I think a few more, taller plants would do the trick. Maybe a thin slab of cork or two would give them some more things to climb on as well. Nonetheless, it is a good start.

I can't find any cork bark here locally but I have definately been looking for it. If I still don't find any I will probably order some in. You are right about them hanging out on the glass right now though. Plus one of them seems to like to sleep in a groove on the rock background. Right now I can hear them calling to each other on occasion and I thing that the fogger I have installed (it is buried in a container in the soil with a screen lid over it) should certainly get them calling a lot more.

I will certainly look into the peace lilies though. Thanks for that idea, but do you think it will be too crowded by plants for the ones that are there to survive?

Heck no.

I should post some pics of some of my tanks... there are so many plants in many of them, it is ridiculous.

I wouldn't worry about plant crowding, as long as your lighting is half decent.

Lots of potential in that tank, I can visualize it when it's fully planted.
Like Double J said, more plants

These are 'leaf frogs', not 'tree frogs' so they need lots of leaves to hide under/hang onto. A plant I find that works well for Red-eyes is Pothos. It can easily fill the tank in short order. The frogs love it, and it doesn't need special care.
I don't think you could give them more leaves than they can stand, they'd just be happier frogs.

Well as a substitute until I can get more plants I transplanted the rubber plant from there old tank into the new one. I never realised how few leaves are on it as it was so buried in with plants in the last tank that I could not see it that well. Here are some pics since I did it.

Oh and Double J, in regards to the lighting I am using two 25w day glo bulbs in the light hood.
