Urgent! Need help with diff. species!!

I recently recieved what was supposed to be a trio of Cyrtodactylus intermedius. However, I have suspicion that the male is a diff. species from the females. His eye is bright yellow with a very distinct pupil, while the female's eyes are a dark grey, almost unicolor. Extreme difference, although they seem nearly similar other than that. Any ideas? Thanks for any help, its tough to get info. on this genus. Thanks again,

I have no hands-on experience with them, but from general gecko knowledge, there's a chance they could be the same species. Eye colour can vary between individuals, but I can also see your point in wanting to find out for sure.

Check out the pictures at some of these sites, see if you can find any 'other' species that might match up to your male to ID him properly.

There's only one picture I could find with 'yellowish' eyes, and that's in the 2nd link of the Family Gekkonidae (Geckoes) photo links. Maybe yours are the same species after all.
Good luck with your search, let us know what you find out, I'm curious. These geckos have always fascinated me, and I've toyed with the idea of getting some.

The last link is the only one I hadn't found in my search, and is the most helpful of course . That one has a intermedius with the golden eye coloration. Interesting, I wonder what is the cause of the variance? Anyway, I'm just glad to put my mind at rest about that. They are awesome geckos! I just wish I could find some info. on breeding them somewhere. They are adjusting well, they remind me a lot of goniurosaurus. Very cool. Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure they've been discussed on the GGA list a few times. If you go to the archives and search, there should be something useful in the posts. You can find the archive link at http://www.gekkota.com/html/listserve.html
