to constrict or not to constrict

When feeding F/T, I just drop the rat in and leave it. Some of my snakes will strike and constrict; others will come over and sniff around and then proceed to swallow. Do your snakes do the same?
Thanks, Paul.

My animals only ever strike and constrict off of the tongs. If I just leave the rat in, they casually swallow it when I'm not looking. Depends on the snake and their mood it seems.
