New FatTail Gecko

I purchased this guy today for $54.99 is this a good price for a 7"-8" male? I guess he is just a Striped FatTail? I bought him from Petco..... But I have watched him for awhile and he is Fat and Healthy

So the Striped Morph is common with WC FatTails? The local petstore told me that they sell Baby Stripes between $30-$50 depending on the Season.

cool geckos I like the stripes. I want to get some fatties, but I am not sure how funds will be. I am debating on spending $1000 Can$ on 1.2 Giant Albino Tangerine leopard geckos. I might not have money for the fatties if I do this year. Decisions decisions LOL

What kind of Cage do you have him in? Sounds like you got a pretty good deal. I have heard that FatTails are supposed to be More Docile than Leo's but when the guy was picking him up it was trying to Bite Him, maybe it was how he was Holding?

Are you sure he wasn't flicking his tongue at you? They will go right up to your hand and lick your hand. I have mine in a 15 gallon aquarium

He wasn't licking, he had his mouth wide open trying to bite the Guys hand, I've never seen my Leo's do this. I just tried to touch him and slightly pick him up and he did nothing. The guy at Petco grabbed his whole body and held his neck lover head with his Thumb & Pointer Finger thats probably why he was trying to bite.

Yeah it was the way the Guy was holding, and I don't think he was trying to bite he was just trying to wiggle lose from the Guy's grasp. I called petco today and asked if it was WC or CB the guy didn't knowwhat I was talking about, when I explained he said the get them from their distributer and they don't know where the distributer gets them from. The local petstore owner told me that petco gets theirs WC and he knows what distributer they get theirs from. He also said I was lucky to get a FatTail with only the Tip of his Tail regrown.

Sounds like that person was squashing the leo. Some geckos have tempers, so if they get handled wrong, they will try to bite. Good thing it is laughable when they do
