just wondering
Just wondering if anyone has ever had any problems keeping green treefrogs with whites tree frogs, i have two whites and two green tree frogs in a 20gal tank with lots of hiding place a big dish, i have a 10gal i was plannin on puttin the greens in as they are in the 20 now and i just got the whites as a early christmas present, they seem to get along fine so far and i dont see any problems, they were kept together at the store, both whites and one of the greens came from that store so anyways,id rather keep them all in this 20 and find somin else for this 10 or get a bigger tank so if this shouldnt be a prob let me kno, or tell me any signs to watch for to show there is a prob so i can seperate before anything happens, thanks

i wouldn't be surprised if you wake up one day and one or both of your greens are gone... whites will eat anything that will fit in their mouth. Even if nothing has happened yet it doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. I would move them for peace of mind (and to keep them all uneaten)

yah im definetly moving them, cause i kno a couple thathave kept them fine but ive had those greens for over a year and dont wanna lose em now so , project of the day, set and move the greens

I am glad you are considering separating these frogs. Their needs are different.. and not to mention, they come from different continents... so New World Syndrome is likely to be a problem... here is a link to some information on that:

Its defiently not a good idea to mix diffrent kinds of frogs. Eventually you will lose them to stress/disease, or the whites will get big enuff and eat the greens

haha yah i kno all that stuff, and i am seperating them for sure, im setting up the new enclosure tonite after christmas dinner, i was just wonderin cause two of the whites and my male green were living together for a long time at the store so just curious if others have done it
