Yeah! Het Albino Female! Yahoo!
Hey all!
Well Im a happy guy. Today, myself and Malaysianbloods picked up our 100% Het Albino Female(ADULT). She came from Henry Piorun through Air Canada. Everything went well, Henry packed her VERY well, the guys at the airport were great about it.
Well, just a few days ago we bought a sub-adult gerbil to feed to her. So were just setting up the cage for her(temps were already good as our male has the same setup), and shes in a rubbermaid so..........we decide to offer her this gerbil. A couple tastes.....looks away.....comes back......BANG! She nailed it right in the face(I was holding the tail so she would get its face) and swallowed it within minutes. That was a GREAT relief. Shes eating and we've had her for less than an hour and a half!!! We've already got a male het albino, so we hope to have some little baby albinos next year! I'll try to get some pics up soon! Thanks.
C.

Chris, did you decide to just try a gerbil or was that what it was eating prior to you getting her?

Thanks Marisa!
Mykee, I was informed that was all she would take prior to getting her. Henry was reluctant to sell her because of that, but I decided what the hey.......since i have access to live mice(I breed them), and i've started breeding gerbils, I may aswell try to slowly convert her to Rats....... Im not the kind of guy that likes to give live if I dont have to.....I would much rather give F/T because obviously I wouldnt want my snake to be injured. Also, its obiously less humane to feed live. I know gerbils have a heck of a bite...thats why I restrained it.

Best of luck with her, Chris. Someitmes you have to take some bad to get some good... I think there's a song about that. Maybe even a show....
Nice score though! I wish you many yellow and white faces.

Haha Thanks Tim!
Nita: If you mean F/T gerbils, your bro said you might have some. We were going to try chain feeding those to her.......but we decided to feed her right away. Anyways, all she will take to my knowledge is live gerbils. Thanks for asking.

I have 2 Frozen gerbils if you want I will bring them to the X-mas party tonight and you guys can try them anyway. All of mine are eating really well right now on either rats or mice so I'm not rocking the boat!! LOL.
