Digital humidity.

Hi everyone,

Looking for a digital hydrometer, do they come with probes like thermometers? And last, where can I buy them? TSC, Wal-Mart etc? Can you give me a name of the ones you use please?

I'm tired of the dial hydrometers.

Thanks a lot
Shane

Meh...Wal-mart, the one in White Oaks mall does not have them. They only have digital thermometers with probes but not with the thermometer/hygrometer combo. Radio Shack (Galleria Mall) does not have them as well. Hygrometer is what you meant right? not hydrometer?

LOL well you wanted to know where to get one, but I've listed places where you cannot. I have been frantically looking for them myself. I might just get one off of Ebay.

Jon

Yes, Hygrometer. I may have to get one from ebay aswell. I can't find them anywhere. My next stop was actually Galleria. So I can now save myself the trip. Thanks Jon.

Try home depot or anywhere with a big gardening area.

There aren't many probe type hygrometers... The most inexpensive type sensors are capacitance based, and the lead wire has capacitance almost equal to the sensor, so this causes inaccuracies. The sensor needs to be right on the circuit board or else the capacitance to analogue conversion needs to happen in the sensor....
Big Apple has one, and there are also remote humidity sensors that work with base stations..
Here's one of the cheapest ones
