Yeah, well those guys don't know much about snakes at all... As for me, i fed my male BCI every 7 days, sometimes more, like you did and it was at a good 4' within a year... Big deal.

I must be a real terrible keeper then because my girl is 1 year and 6 months and she is 5 1/2 ft long. Some people are idiots and have no clue wut they r talkin about. My girl gets a rat every 7 days also. Boids, you're doin fine.
We feed our newborn boas a day old pinky rat every four days. As they grow we up the size of the food item and the time between feeding. Eventually a large pinky rat every five days is fed. Then a fuzzy rat every six days. Next we move up to weanling rats every seven days. After that we feed small rats and slow feeding down to every ten days. We raised 20+ newborns this way and all were about 4 ft at 18 months and not one ever refused a meal.
LOL. Well then I have terrible husbandry too because i have a 6ft male boa in a 5x2x1 cage and a 7.5-8ft boa in a 5x2x2! LOL. Man them are on crack! (Edit: LOL I must be too! Great grammar.)
