Oh. Um.... lucky I have a strong stomach, my lunch won't be wasted, just delayed a bit

Is it common to spay iggies? I would make sense to me, but I have hardly ever heard of it being done.

Are those ovaries or eggs ripening in that second picture?

SPaying is the female version of castration
I am removing the ovaries...the yellow structures are follicles (yolks).
This female was egg-bound...couldnt complete ovulation and had not eaten for 4 weeks !

I always recommend spaying female iggys........they get egg bound too often and this can become life threatening

i also recommend castration of agressive males (this is a little more complicated)
