All snakes in captivity are stressed

Ya .. right !! Does he look stressed to you? He hung out like this for about half an hour, then went up on his shelf for a snooze.

I think he was watching Jeff Corwin on TV.

looks great. Ever find that they seem to love being wrapped around an arm just starring at something while they start to make your hand go white and tingly(loss of blood i guess)

bigger is better

looks like a lot of enclosure for a little snake. great stuff, you see so many people just doing the minimum sizes for their snake, it's great to see some one else going for bigger too

Ya .. it is a bit of overkill I guess, but .. I'm not a big fan of keeping snakes long term in small enclosures. I don't cringe whenever I read of hatchlings in shoeboxes anymore .. having gained a bit of knowledge over the years I can see that they are happier like that, but I think adults really apreciate the room. He loves to cruise the cage and laze around on his shelf. He quite often just sits inside looking out .. no real desire to escape.

Actually Waltorian .. it is fake rock .. I did my own version of the hyper tufa stuff they use for garden ornaments, and made his shelf and his caves out of it. Great stuff .. holds the moisture well when sprayed and keeps the humidity up. Good for shedding too.

Here's the full shot.
