Dwarf Chilean Tegu

Anyone know where there might be a female dwarf Chilean Tegu for sale? Are they CITES?

Well, no one else has responded... I don't know where you can get one but they aren't CITES listed.

http://www.cites.org/eng/resources/species.html shows the Teiidae listed by CITES.

Actually the original source of the male tegu I have was some breeder called Interior Breeders in BC or something I think. Does anyone know these guys or how to contact them?

Yes, 'true tegus' like the argentine and the golden are in the in the genus Tupinambis and this lizard is in Callopistes, but both genera are in TEIIDAE, along with several other North and South American lizards.

http://www.embl-heidelberg.de/~uetz/...s/Teiidae.html has a list of members of the family TEIIDAE.

http://www.embl-heidelberg.de/~uetz/LivingReptiles.html is a great database whenever you want to check up on taxonomy.

Good Luck with your tegus.
