A mature male can range anywhere from 9 to *maybe* 12 inches and weight over 80 grams. That would be a pretty big male though. Hope this helps!

If he is, in fact, a Giant, you can expect him to get slightly larger and heavier... how old is your male? Most leos are at their adult size by 18 months or so. If yours is older he's probably not going to grow much more, length-wise. Did the person you purchased him from say he was from a giant line? I've been interested in them myself... Hope this helps! =)

It still doesn't sound like your male is a giant, though. How old are your other geckos? They may just be subadults but I could be wrong... Got photos? Post if you do.... =)

P.S. I'm not that good with genetics, but if one of the leo's parents was giant he could still be an adult of 'normal' size, (I think)... someone correct me if I'm wrong! =)

well i have never heard in all my years caring for geckos/snakes of a gecko getting more then about 7 inches and i have had many. alls i am saying is i heard that this is a new thing(giant gecko that is) and i was told that he is from that line, your female is probbly from the same sort of line. again my guy is around 1 year old,i check his birthday and he is only 1 year old so he is still growing. and he is going on over 10 inches long.

hey everyone,i agree with corn king 73,i had have leos for many years and the biggest i have seen one get is around 9 inches and that was big so 10 inches at full grown is great and can happen but not that common. there is a line of giants coming out and i think that if your male is only 1 year then you may just have one of th at line. he is a beautiful gecko, nice strips. the picture are not great tho.

I've had many leos longer than 10 inches, and not one was from the Tremper giants. Three of my girls were F1 WC, their parents were wild caught. These girls were just about 11 inches long. I sold a male Tremper albino that I bought as a hatchling from GoldenGecko 4 years earlier (before the Giants were available). He measured 10.75 inches. My blizzard colony has 4 girls all around 11 inches, again not related to the giant strain.

The Tremper giants are supposedly genetic, but there are so many other 'giant' sized leopards over 10 inches that you can't guess yours is related to the Tremper giants.

Candy from Reptile Rescue Canada has Amethyst. He's HUGE, I believe over 12 inches.

Ok, I thought your gecko was 2 years old... now it's only 1?? Many geckos reach lengths of 10 inches or more; it's not that uncommon. I wouldn't surprised to hear that smaller adult geckos are the result of a.) breeding in captivity, b.) small cage sizes (as compared to their natural territories) and c.) inbreeding.

Your gecko may or may not be a giant, however, I wouldn't consider his current size to be exceptional. I've heard that Tremp Giants reach lenths of 14 inches... considerably longer in my opinion.

If you really wanted to find out, contact the person who you purchased this animal and ask him for records indicating birth and parental bloodlines. Beautiful gecko by the way... =)

I have a 11.75 inch male and he is not related to the tremper strain. every once in a while they are going to show up. thats what happened to John Tremper. he had a "giant" pop out of and egg and decided to inbreed it as much as possible (thats why I dont like him) and ended up will large leos.
