Steepness of branches
How steep can the branches be. I just dont want to put branches in that they cant climb.

They're pretty great climbers but I figured no more then 45ish degrees and they'd be more then fine. My guy sleeps on them every night and never on his actual tree.

All angles, even straight up, they are great climbers and will do well as long as there not all straight up lol

anouther thing to consider is the thickness of the branches. If you have a variety of width it will help exercise theyre gripping strength.

I have ones that are like 4 inches wide and ones that are like a quarter inch thick so we'll see what they like.

4 inchs i think is a bit big lol, it all depends on what size cham your getting, 1-2cm is better and the length is however long you want. BUt panther dude does have a point. So just vary the size from 1cm to 4inchs

Well its going to be the basking branch and is the only thing that I have that can hold a chams weight in the position that I have it in.

i think 4 inches would be way to wide, and it wouldnt be able to grip it and might fall off.

It has little branches sticking out of it all the way up and there will be smaller branches all the way up beside it to.

keep in mind guys that in the wild chams climp very large trees 4" is fine just like they said provide varied thicknesses.

I just trimed a large maple and was wondering if I disenfect the branches if I could use them? I just dont know if the sap will be there after the soak.

what I like to do with the store bought jungle vine is wrap thin vines around the thickest vines. At some points tight and others really loose so it loops out a bit. It works well if you have a probleme like youve got where you need the thick branch for support. It also gives the enclosure a more natural look i find..
just a thought lol

I am going to start giving away all the jungle vines I have and replace them with real wood, hopefully in the next few weeks (people in the ottawa area lemme know if you want them for free). I personally find the fake ones look really crappy in the cages, and I'm sure the chameleons would much appriciate the real wood as well.
