Looking for input on this crestie setup..

Okay, looking for honest opinions/suggestions. This is what I've put together as a temp setup for my new crestie. She's only about 1 month old. How did I do?

I would recommend that you switch to paper towel substrate, there is always the possibilty that your crestie may choke on loose substrate when he hunts.

I was going to use paper towel, but don't plan on feeding crickets - would I need to still switch?

Are you planning to only feed Crested Gecko Diet? If so that is fine but your cresties growth rate will be slower to that of a crestie who is fed both crix and CGD. Its up to you, either feeding cycle should be fine.

No, I'll be feeding fresh fruit and fruit flavored baby food and using the Gargoyle Diet as a supplement w/ each meal. The breeder said she seemed to eat more of and enjoy the baby food more than the crickets anyway.

You should be fine but like I said before, your crestie will grow slower than one that is eating on crix. Plus watching them hunt is one of the best things of owning a crestie

Why aren't you feeding your crestie crickets? They are a great benefit to them on multiple levels. Especially for the youngsters. By adult hood your gecko will relish babyfood and fruit. You're going to miss all the action watching him grow up!

Your set up is great I find cocobark and paper towel great for holding moisture.
