Panther Growth Rate

I have two ambanja's - male and female. The male is growing fast - at least 2 - 3 inches since April. The female is still small - possibly grown 1 inch since April as well.

Same setup for both - 85 - 90f basking, 5.0 UVB bulbs(purchased shortly after they were), misted 3 times a day, drippers used, meals daily - dusted 2 - 3 times per week with jurrasical or reptivite.

I haven't found any info on their growth rates - maybe I'm expecting them to grow faster - like veileds?

For starters you might want to up there basking point just a bit. Around the 95-97 degree range. My two nosy be's are doing awsome at these temps. You will notice that the male will grow faster then the famale. Females are actually quite a bit smaller full grow when compared to the males.
Also its good to get someone in that hasnt seen your chameleons in a while. They cna notice the change in size alot easier then you can, as im sure you spend most of you day watching them as I do.
But so far all sounds pretty good to me. How many crix are you feeding daily? How old are the chameleons? Do you feed a variety of insects? Is they re invironment at all stress full to them?

I think your basking spot is fine imo, The male will grow alot more then the female, females are alot smaller then males, I dont hink u have a problem here but it might help if u give approx age and length, and no panthers do not explode like veilds although somethimes the males seem that way, when the female is fully grown they seem soo small compaired to the male. so yea let us now length and age that would give a better idea. If your really worried go see a vet.

yes 90- is good but in madagascar temps can reach up to 103 for a majority of the year.

Maybe somewhere in Madagascar but this is not the norm for F. pardalis habitat. "The temperature in its habitat ranges from moderate in the winter (daily average 23C [73.4F) to hot in the summer (daily average 28C [82.4F)." yes well you do what you want. my basking spots are at 100 and my chameleons love it. I see them basking all the time. But oh no wait thats to hott lol.
They are allways very content and love the heat. They are also growing really well and have never been conserned about there growth rate.

For everyone who wants to know, I have (and most panther owners) have a basking spot about 90-92 F.

OK so how big are pantheres SUPPOSED to get? (Length snout to vent)

21 inches??? OMG all the panthers I have seen in the lower mainland have been ~5 inches nose to vent MAX. I had one come into rescue that my freind adopted and he is still only 5-6 inches and doing great. (all the husbandry practices match what the cham keepers recommend) I recently had a breeding pair traded to me and me not being a lizard person decided to sell them, and they were only ~5 inches. Is this normal? I have seen a dozen or more panthers in the lower mainland and they were all in the same size range? Is there maybe a sub-species or somethng???
