I am an artist... but I am not clear on what you need.... The media I use range from graphite to watercolor, to pastel... I often use reptiles as my subjects.

Well if you're not sure, I'm not, LOL! I am a professional artist, but it's not my only source of income (ever hear of the phrase "starving artist"?) It might be difficult to find one who supports him or herself only on their art.
As for the mythical thing... are you looking for serpents in history/myths/etc.?

...Look at Aboriginal art. You'll find ~lots~ of references to snakes and some of the coolest snake designs.

OR you can also research Native American primitive pottery and African pottery.
Samba--I'm an artist also, what's your work like?

I am also a professional artist. I have done works for various members of these boards and businesses alike. I have a list of references and portfolio images as well.

I'm not a professional by a long shot, but I do paint animals as a hobby. We should start a thread in a little while with people's reptile art.
