Talking Cresteds: The ultimate killer of reptiphobia in girlfriends!!!!

Hey all,

Yes, I made up the word reptiphobia, was not sure what it was called so that's what a fear of reptiles is called now LOL

Was at a show this weekend, did some buying, selling and trading. One of my trades ended up being for a baby crested. Had never had cresties before and realized how kool they really are! I ended up trading for a bunch of them

My whole plan behind them was to start a breeding project and, more importantly use them to break my girlfriends fear of reptiles. When we first met she was literally freaked to just come into my house! Now she comes in, she just stays away from the reptile room.

She was over tonight and I was moving the cresties from their temporary enclosures into some more comfortable ones. I handled them some and let them jump from hand to hand. She thought they were really neat. She had never really come near a reptile before let alone touched one and within 15 mins of seeing the cresties she was handling them! I think I've got her hooked
It took a while to find something but now she's even got names for all of them LOL

This is definitly an amazing species and they make great pets.
I'm sure I'll be doing much more digging around in the crested
forum! I will definitly have to post some pics of the little guys too!

I broke her fear with bearded dragon hatchlings.

she doesnt even like seeing the name ssnakess.com when she opens up the internet (its my homepage) lol

Yep, Cresties are the perfect "repti-phobe" reptile. For some reason, girls go nuts for them, no matter how much they dislike reptiles. The only other reptile I've ever seen girls go crazy over are little tiny baby Ball Pythons...but unlike Cresties, they lose their "cuteness."

Congrats!

It's the eyelashes. Anything with naturally long, thick and luxurious eyelashes can't be all bad.
Call it jealousy.... they're hoping to find the secret and pitch the mascara for good.

I think it's the eyelashes and because they can lick their eyeballs...you know girls have to respect that.
