Hey i was wondering what do u gusy think makes a better pet chameleon. the fishers or a jacksons. im considering getting a pair of eather. iv keep vields before so experinced with chams. i was just wonder what u gusy think would be better. as in requirment, life span and etc. thanx

Well i personal havnt had either so i shouldnt say to much about them. But i would perfer the fishers. Even though jacksons are pretty cool, but it doesnt beat the fishers lol. thats my opinion

Jacksons are more readily available as CB than Fishers. Jax are also easier to keep as a pet. If your cham experience is limited to vields, then learning the care of a montane species is way easier starting with a jacksons.

DragnDrop has a good point. I personally dont think you should start on either yet, but get some panthers??? But everyone has to start somer where right, as long as you know your stuff then why not??? Jacksons are slowly becoming more availabe in Canada as CB but most are still WC. So makre sure you find a CB or even better CBB

well iw as actually lookin at gettin some from amazono cuz the have them for 100 each and iv been wanting some for a long time. just never been able to save up enough before.

For 100$ I'd be suspicious. Make sure to look into the history of them. If you haven't had experience with montane species, jacksonii are hardier than fischerii so I have come to understand. Also, fischerii are very rare in Canada and it would be a crime to buy one without the intention of breeding. I'd recommend jacksonii, but make SURE you get it at the age of 4 months or older. They're VERY fragile, in terms of supplementation, heat and humidity and tempurature, when they're young and raising them as neonates is best left to the breeder. You'll want to keep it with a basking light of 50W or lower, misting should be two to three more times than veileds, tempurature should be moderate, room tempurature, they can survive cooler though, and make sure not to over supplement.

From hearing people experiences I have heard that Fischers have a much better personality, and are slightly easier to care for. That is if they are CB, which are difficult to find usually.

Im goin to check if there captive breed hopefully they are. and i think im gonna go with the fishers. i love the looks of the guys.
