I just got home, and checked on Tali and Abasi to see if their homes needed cleaning, and what do ya know.... synchronized bathroom functions! This is the second time they've done it. It will make cleaning a much more bearable chore if they stick to that.
Anyway, the heating unit had flaked out, and they both felt chilly to the touch. (hot spot had dropped to 74 but they felt colder). So while I cleaned their cages and set up my backup heating pad, I put the young one, Abasi, around my neck.
He put some serious constriction on me after a moment. Maybe just trying to get as much warmth out of me as possible, but he had a good enough grip on my neck that it felt like someone putting an inept sleeper hold on me.
My face was probably quite red by the time he relaxed. I didn't fight him, as he was only restricting blood flow, not blocking it. If I'd have started turning purple then I'd have been concerned.
Still, I was quite surprised at the strength of the little guy. If a 20 inch BP can turn my face different shades of red, just think of what he can do when he's full grown
I knew I named him Abasi ("Stern") for a reason. He'll be the first BP to each a human
