Speaking of snake venom for medical research.

I saw a show on discovery a while ago about black mamba venom being used in I think Alzheimer's research because it causes neurons to fire repeatedly in healthy people which causes problems neurologically but it's that ability that might help with reactivating dead or impaired neurons in patients with Alzheimers.

Very interesting if nothing else.
