Hrm... How humid would you say the South Eastern united states is exactly? Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas noted for their arrid weather?

Corns encounter a fairly wide range of environmental conditions throughout their range, humidity won't hurt them in the least but, as was noted, is also not generally something they are sensitive to when the numbers are low. Just keep in mind that humid is not synonymous with wet and you're good.

Corns range all the way from Florida up to Jersey - so you have to imagine that they do encounter a huge variety of environmental conditions, as Seamus pointed out. But some don't realize exactly how much - corns have been found in wetland areas, as well as almost arid conditions in the central states.

They aren't quite as resistant to scale rot as tropical creatures though, and this can be a concern with corns. 50% humidity is absolutely ideal, but more than that is utterly unneccessary.
