My new rack

This is my new rack system from JD Terrariums, heated using heat rope attached to an analog thermostat. I just got it tonight, and am going to monitor it for the next few days before putting my herps in.

Here is a view of the front, I am going to install tinted sliding glass so the rubbermaids are not visible, and to help keep temps constant. I will post a pic of the rack with the glass when it arrives.

Angle from the top

View from the top:

The rack has been reinforced so that it can also double as a bench or as a support for another terrarium.

Nice rack.

Why add the tinted glass though?

The rack is in the living room, hence the need for tinted glass to cover the rubbermaids from view. To a lesser extent, it might be useful to help maintain temps and airflow.

Glass will definitely hinder air flow.
