Snails

I don't know the species, but they're all over the place after rain. Figured a free and very available food source for some snail loving reptiles. Anyone know if they're toxic? Obviously they have to be collected in a clean area. But other than that?

I have never seen any snails and I live about 45min from Toronto. but I collect worms

Those snails you see all over the place are an excellent food for skinks, monitors and anything else that eats them. They're also good for human consumption (but small). Be sure to collect them in a pesticide free area. I used to keep them for a couple days, feeding them romaine lettuce to clean them out before feeding.

BTW, if you're collecting them for your own use, feed them fresh basil leaves for a couple of days instead of romaine. Much better flavour.
