why does my hog

piss on me when i hold her? I know Colubrids will excreet foul smelling stuff when they are scared, but i did not know boas do it. It has happened twice, once in front of people. both times i had her around my neck, could it be because my neck is warm and it makes her go?

Just one of many reasons why I never put any snake around my neck.
Start holding her in front of you with both hands so that she is well supported and give her time to acclimate.

Musking is a defense mechanism in snakes. Some are more prone to it than others. Boas can musk as well. My male Bcc has musked on occassion when he gets himself in to enough of a tantrum My Jamaican boas musk just about every time I pick them up. Musking however, is not a commonly seen reaction in Bc's.
